I've been divorced for almost a year and truly on my own for the first time ever. I love it! I have loving family, supportive friendships, amazing neighbors, a church home, a great job, fun hobbies, and two sweet cats-- I've got everything I want, and I made this juicy life for myself, no man required! :)

The timing on this video couldn’t be better. 3 years in an unhealthy “fwb” situation; he wasn’t the one and we both always knew that, he was always honest about his intentions, but I couldn’t help projecting my hope for love onto him and didn’t have an open heart for better suited men. He’s moving across the world for work this weekend and the pain of that lack of closure and never being “chosen” (even when I “knew”better than to hope the whole time) feels heartbreaking. Wow, those stories of your babysitter and friend are eye opening examples of how we women are conditioned in society to tie our worth to having a man. No matter what at all costs - cling to that man and prioritize and obsess over him. Things are changing but I really hope we can get to a place where this is not the case anymore in society. Being with a man in a loving relationship should be because we want to enjoy experiences and companionship like you said, not because our worth depends on being tied to a man.

I wouldn't mind dating a younger man, howver I am not good looking more on the contrary side, so i do not think, I will be possibly attracting a younger man, i am trying to dress nice and take care of my self , but i just don't have the looks. I'm here to tell you not to find identity in your family. At 11 years old your children will start to separate from you, hate you even ,it is one if the hardest things to go thru. You will feel lost but it's an opportunity to challenge yourself and do something serve your community etc. A marriage and having a family alone is not enough to fulfill you. In fact they can be very hurtful even in "healthy" family's it happens. God ,spirituality, and serving and learning will. GOD BLESS YOU ADRIENNE !

I adore your work, but very highly disagree with if you've been with a gentleman for 1.5 years you are into him.... (especially if long distance) I know several people self included that had low attraction thought it would grow.... its does not. you are not into him and never were ...tolerated him for the possibilities, but realized that he's not your guys. If still not really attracted after 1.5 Years that's not him!!!! If you have to ask wonder after 1.5 that nots it. Don't talk yourself into a lifetime of suffering and you will suffer and ultimately so will he.❤ GOOD LUCK
